Prairie Hills Recovery Center in Sidney, MT is an outpatient treatment facility.  We also have office in Glendive that is by appointment only and can be made by calling our Sidney office.


 Our goal is to help you through the transition from addiction to healthy living.  We offer different classes and individual 

sessions for anyone using or abusing substances such as alcohol, methamphetamine, opiates, cannabis and/or any other type of substance.

*Insurance accepted is limited to Blue Cross Blue Shield, United Health Care (NOT UMR), Pacific Source, Allegiance Benefit Plan, Aetna/Cigna, Humana, Medicaid,  self-pay, credit cards and checks.   Billing any insurance does not guarantee full coverage of services and client may be responsible for the remainder of the bill, based on their individual insurance plan.

Women's Trauma Group

This is a 12 week group for women that will go through a process of helping them understand what happened to them.  They will learn more about what trauma is, and how widespread trauma is in women's lives.  This group focuses on the trauma surrounding their own substance use disorder, growing up in a family with substance use disorders, and understanding the family dynamics involved with substance use disorders.  Exploring how trauma has affected them as well as, learning coping mechanisms, doing activities to help them feel grounded and focusing on safety.

Cognitive Principles and Restructuring

MRT (Moral Reconation Therapy) Group is a systematic, cognitive-behavioral, step by step treatment strategy designed to enhance self-image, promote growth of a positive, productive identity, and facilitate the development of higher stages of moral reasoning.

Men's Batterer Intervention Training Services

A group for males that are Partner Family Member Assault (PFMA) offenders.  This class provides education using the Duluth Model of Power,  Control and Nonviolence curriculum.

DUI Evaluation and 12 Hour DUI Seminar/Classes

After receiving a DUI (Driving Under the Influence) charge, a person will be required by the court and Department of Transportation to complete a chemical dependency evaluation. Upon completing this evaluation, the court is notified of participation and the DOT is given paperwork stating the evaluation and classes are complete. 


The DUI service is an educational group utilizing the Prime for Life program.  The information focuses on assisting clients in evaluating drinking on one's own terms and identifying safe versus high risk choices.  The seminar is held once monthly over a period of two days, as Montana Driver Control requires a 12-hour educational cass. Fee for the Evaluation is $300.00 and $250.00 for the DUI Seminar/ Classes

Chemical Dependency Evaluation

It is the initial information gathering session in which the client and counselor meet to discuss family and personal history of drug/alcohol use, as well as other background information. This evaluation is also required before any treatment (group or individual sessions) can begin. A Chemical Dependency Evaluation is required to get into inpatient treatment unless, you have private insurance.  Fee is $300.00

Individual Sessions and Outpatient Treatment

Individual Sessions consist of the client and counselor meet one-on-one and discuss what the client would like to gain from therapy in terms of drug or alcohol use.  This process focuses on assisting the client in applying new information to daily choices and evaluating the effectiveness and fulfillment of those choices.


Outpatient Treatment is the same information and process as an Individual Session; however, group sessions are included.  Duration is based on client need; Group therapy has the added benefit of peer feedback and support.  


Fee for Individual Sessions are $75.00/50 min session and Group Sessions is $50.00 for a two-hour group.
